Everyone loves a good nugget! But how do we make it better, you ask? Look no further! We’re loading the IT Isn’t Chicken nuggets into one of the most delicious sandwiches ever. It’s got the crunch, it’s got the sauce. It’s a wholesome bite of happiness!
You can cook them in the air fryer, fry them in a pan or even toss them in the oven to toast. Cook ’em however you fancy until they’re piping hot and crispy
And now, it’s time to talk business. What’s a sandwich without sauce? And more importantly, what are nuggets without a sauce?! Here we’re going to whip up a really simple yet insanely tasty sauce, one you’d want to use on anything and everything! Yes, that’s just how good it is.

Ingredients

Baguette or any bread of your preference |
3-4 Leaves |
Lettuce |
2-3 |
Cheese Slices |
1/3 Cup |
Onion - Sliced Round |
1/3 Cup |
Tomato - Sliced Round |
1/3 Cup |
Bell Pepper - Julienne Cut |
1/3 Cup |
Pickled Onions (optional) * |
Oil to fry |
To make the pickled onions: Heat vinegar, sugar, salt and whole peppercorns in a pan. Stir until sugar and salt has dissolved. Fill up sliced onions and a piece of raw beetroot (optional - for a bright pink colour) in a jar. Pour this hot mixture over the onions and let sit for about an hour. Your delicious pickled onions are ready! You can store this in the refrigerator for upto 2 months
For the Sauce

Tomato Ketchup |
1/2 Tablespoon |
Hot Sauce |
1/2 Tablespoon |
Yellow Mustard |
1/2 Teaspoon |
Minced Garlic |
1 Tablespoon |
Diced pickles (optional) |
To Taste |
Salt and Pepper to taste |
Steps:
- Deep fry the chicken nuggets in a pan for about 4-5 mins, or until they’re golden brown
- Halve the baguette, open it out and spread some butter on either sides. Place it on a tawa or in the oven to toast
- Combine all the 'sauce' ingredients in a small bowl. Taste test for seasoning and adjust if needed.
- Cut up the cheese slices diagonally to form ‘triangles’
- Slather your preferred amount of sauce on the baguette. Layer one side with lettuce, cheese slices, then tomatoes, plain/pickled onions circles and bell pepper slices
- Season with a pinch of salt and pepper
